The Ocean

"The Ocean" is a small section of the Stroudwater Navigation (canal) which along with many other sections of canals in the Cotswolds in England connect the River Thames to the River Severn - a distance of 36 miles (58km) via 56 locks.

I took this shot on my last business trip (on my old project) in 2015, to the UK on a dismal evening with overcast skies and a light rain falling. The church in the background is St Cyr's (at Stonehouse) named after a AD 303 child martyr.

Sadly such projects are in the decline... it would be good to be able to say the money would be going to support the young, the sick and the old.. but I suspect it is going to pay "share holders" of some trust or another...
