Tears of Joy

The bright sunshine brings tears to my eyes, and reminds me that beauty has a cost.
And, as I wipe away the tears, there before me stands a vision, a woman so rare.
I know her so well, she knows me too. We have walked and danced through the ages.
Like mine, her heart aches for lost opportunities and broken dreams. Have faith.

In many ways the innocence of this lady is tempered with denial, not wishing to know.
In her soul she knows all, but it is frightening to have this knowledge thrust upon her.
And she knows that I can read her heart, she knows that I see her naked, hurt and pure.
She defends herself needlessly, hiding the light that needs to be shared to give of life.

And my heart is overwhelmed by the far too powerful force of her fear and her confusion.
Trust in your intimate goodness, please do not hide from love, you have not failed yourself.
You know that you have a golden opportunity to move beyond the darkness of the past.
Your sadness needs to end, so please be brave dear lady and travel back into the light.

You have lived in darkness for too long, it is time for your soul to fly again. Trust in truth.
Maybe for a reason, I came once again into your life. We know what the past teaches.
I wish every loving thing for your life, and hope that the tears of joy will flow for you again.
