Head of the Bed

In many country villages houses and farms are furnished with "hand-me-downs", items with local styling or that have been in the family for many generations... I stayed in a small farm recently and this was the bedhead in the room I slept in... I was told it was over 100 years old (so probably made before or around the time of WW1) and looks to be made of Brazilian Mahogany.... I dedicate this piece to a dear friend and sister who lives in a small village in France (when she is not in SL or travelling) where I am sure many similar pieces are to be found...
